Music Video : Editing

        Editing
Both me and my partner have now entered the editing stage of our project. This process is not as efficient as we’d like it to be because we don’t have all of our scenes filmed yet but we are trying to get as much done. During our commercial, the editing process was a lot smoother. Due to the fact that  editing isn’t coming along as well as we’d like it to be, we have decided to film and edit over the weekend. This way we can finish up our music video before its due. This is important because having a good grade in this class is was is really important to me. After we finish editing, we have to save and submit our final video in.
During editing we will like to use different type of cuts. Jump cuts is a main type of cut we are going to use. Jump cuts are useful when transitions from scene to scene in a dramatic way. These will be helpful when editing our music video because they will produce a better version of the music video. This editing will have to be top notch in order to get our stuff done. We probably won’t even be using the school computers to edit but rather our mobile devices because they are more reliable. Editing is expected to take that long because we have nothing too crazy planned so our music video will most likely be turned in on time.
I really hope that we can get our editing done. While we wont do anything too flashy, we wil have our video done soon i hope. The sooner i finish shooting my scenes, that sooner i can put editing in full effect and finish this music video soon. Finishing this music video is now my top priority because this class really means a lot to me. In order to keep my good grades in this class, I have to turn in my music video on time which I am determined to do. Anyways its getting late, im going to go to sleep. I’ll talk to you bloggers tmrw.
Peace ✌️

Music Video : Filming Part 2

     Filming
We managed to actually film over the long weekend. This last week was thanksgiving break so we had 5 days to film over the break. Of those days we only managed to film on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, my partner and I went to Fort Lauderdale beach for my birthday party. We managed to film some scenes on the beach and some nice shots of the sky as the night was approaching. Overall, while Saturday wasn’t the most productive day for filming, we still managed to get some good shots on the beach.
And on Sunday, wasn’t the most productive day either. My partner and I didn’t get together on Sunday because of complications with her mother. She did manage to film some stuff at home because she had took the camera home. I was disappointed at the fact that we couldn’t film together on Sunday because it felt like a waste of a day. But, our music video is due on Monday. We have time to film our final scenes to get it done by Monday. Even though our music video is yet to be finished, both my partner and I are willing to get this project done by Monday.
While this blog is most likely not 30 sentences, I hope this is enough. Its kind of a challenge to write about nothing and doing nothing for the entire break. I am really motivated to get my project done because this class is very important to me. I’ve been wanting to be in a film class since middle school and now having the opportunity to be in one is really cool. We celebrated my birthday party in Fort Lauderdale, we had a really good time. My partner filmed some cool shots of the skyline and it will really fit in well with the theme of the music video. All we need to do now is film the rest of the scenes and that should be a wrap to our music video. Our song is Day n Nite by Kid Cudi so we decided to shoot some day shots at my party and now all we need to do now is film the night shots and we should be good. Ok I think im going to go to sleep now.
